Alexi "Alex" Poulos is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Home and Away'', portrayed by Danny Raco. He made his first on screen appearance on 26 February 2001 and departed on 13 February 2004. He returned for a brief guest stint in 2007, arriving on 4 June 2007 and made his final appearance on 19 June 2007. Casting Raco joined the cast in 2001 and his first scenes began airing on 26 February 2001. Danny Raco (born 24 December 1979) is an Italian Australian actor and director, known for his television work on Home and Away and Blue Heelers.. Raco was born in Rome, Italy. Career He got his start playing Marco Vialli on the teenage soap opera '' Heartbreak High'' from 1998 to 1999. In 2001, he joined the cast of a primetime soap opera, ''Home and Away'', playing Alex Poulos. In 2004, Raco chose to leave ''Home and Away'' to pursue the role of Constable Joss Peroni on ''Blue Heelers''. He remained with the show until its end in 2006. Raymond Francis Meagher (born 4 July 1944) is an Australian actor, who has appeared in Australian film and television since the mid-1970s. He is notable as the longest continuing performer in an Australian television role, portraying Alf Stewart on ''Home and Away'', having played the role since the first episode in 1988.
