Alex Gsell
XPQ-21 are a German electronic body music band, led by Jeyênne. They are best known for their hits "White And Alive", "Rockin' Silver Knight" and "Dead Body". History XPQ-21 was formed as a duo in 1998, consisting of Jeyênne and Nicque. They released their first single A Gothic Novel in 1998 and their album Destroy To Create in 1999. Following Nicque leaving XPQ-21 in 2003, Jeyênne was joined by various new members. Live members have included Annelie Bertilsson (Cat Rapes Dog, And One), Martin Hillebrand, Moritz Zielke and Andy Haywire. XPQ-21 returned in 2022 with the new single Machines on Monsters & Heroes, their own label. In April 2022 Machines reached No. 2 in the Deutsche Alternative Charts (DAC) (German Alternative Charts). Breakbeat is a broad type of electronic music that uses drum breaks, often sampled from early recordings of funk, jazz, and R&B. Breakbeats have been used in styles such as Florida breaks, hip-hop, jungle, drum and bass, big beat, breakbeat hardcore, and UK garage styles (including 2-step, breakstep and dubstep). Logic Pro is a proprietary digital audio workstation (DAW) and MIDI sequencer software application for the macOS platform developed by Apple Inc. And One
And One is a German new wave, synthpop, and EBM band founded by Steve Naghavi and Chris Ruiz in 1989. History The band formed after Steve Naghavi and Chris Ruiz met in 1989 at a Berlin club. Being fans of early EBM music, Naghavi and Ruiz decided to follow in the footsteps of new wave/synthpop band Depeche Mode by using two keyboards and a beatbox. Jason Ankeny of AllMusic called their 1990 single, "Metal Hammer", a "significant club hit". The duo became a trio with the addition of Alex Two, prior to the release of their debut album, ''Anguish'' in 1991. That same year, they were honored as the Best New Artist in western Germany. Electronic Body Music
Electronic body music (EBM) is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of industrial music and synth-punk with elements of dance music. It developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe, as an outgrowth of both the punk and the industrial music cultures. It combines sequenced repetitive basslines, programmed disco rhythms, and mostly undistorted vocals and command-like shouts with confrontational or provocative themes. Cat Rapes Dog is a Swedish electropunk, EBM and heavy metal band, formed in 1984 by Joel Rydström and Magnus Fransson. Initially the band self-released a number of albums on cassette, (then a trend followed by many independent acts of their type), plus a cassette album & vinyl singles on Swedish label Front Music Production. Between 1989 and 1991 Cat Rapes Dog released three studio albums on KK Records, a Belgian independent label specialising in new beat, EBM and industrial acts (such as Front Line Assembly or Vomito Negro) that released over 300 titles between 1987 and 1996. Multiple Cat Rapes Dog albums were later released on Swedish independent labels Energy Rekords (Die Krupps, VNV Nation, Front 242, etc.) and Subspace Communications ( Covenant, Apoptygma Berzerk, etc.) and on Artoffact Records of Toronto, Canada in 2013. Drum And Bass
Drum and bass (commonly abbreviated as DnB, D&B, or D'n'B) is a genre of electronic dance music characterised by fast Break (music)#Breakbeat (element of music), breakbeats (typically 165–185 Tempo, beats per minute) with heavy Bass (music), bass and sub-bass lines, Sampling (music), samples, and synthesizers. The genre grew out of the UK's Jungle music, jungle scene in the 1990s. The popularity of drum and bass at its commercial peak ran parallel to several other UK dance styles. Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in the early 2000s. Alternative Rock
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s.
