Alex Gilady
Alex Gilady (; 9 December 1942 – 13 April 2022) was an Israeli journalist and sports official. Personal life Gilady was born on 9 December 1942 in Teheran, Iran. Gilady was the son of a Polish Jewish family who had fled during the Second World War, arriving in Israel, with his parents, and grew up in Ramat HaSharon. Gilday studied at the Naval College, Mevo'ot Yam, Michmoret (Israel). Gilady died on 13 April 2022 in London, England from lung cancer, aged 79. Career From 1964, Gilady worked as a journalist. Sports career Gilady became a sports commentator for television in 1968. From 1981 to 1996, he was vice president of the channel NBC Sports, and from 1985 to 2008 he was the Chairman of the Television Commission of the IAAF. Keshet Media Group, also known as the Keshet company (), is an Israeli private mass media company headquartered in Tel Aviv. Its media and online news outlet Mako is one of the major Israeli ones. The Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA; ) was Israel's public broadcaster from 1948 to 2017, succeeded by the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. Channel 10 (Israeli TV Channel)
Channel 10 (), formerly known as Israel 10 (), was an Israeli free-to-air television channel. Operating under the auspices of The Second Authority for Television and Radio, Channel 10 was one of three commercial television channels in Israel (others being Keshet 12 and Reshet 13), enjoying an average audience rating of 6.5% in 2011 within its main news program. Despite the name, the channel was actually broadcast on channel 14 from 1 November 2017 until its closure on 16 January 2019. Channel 10 underwent a merger with rival network Reshet 13 (of Reshet), and this channel ceased transmissions on 16 January 2019. Some programs from Channel 10 moved over to Reshet 13. Oshrat Kotler (Hebrew: אושרת קוטלר; born 25 July 1965) is an Israeli journalist, television news presenter and author. Biography Kotler, born Levi, comes from a Sephardi family from Bulgaria which spoke Ladino. She has written several books about her heritage. Kotler has a BA degree in Political sciences (cum laude) from Tel Aviv University. Media career Kotler joined the Israeli News Company in 1994. She was a news anchor, editor, and correspondent.
