Alessandra Acciai (born December 12, 1965, in Rome) is an Italian film, television and stage actress, whose career spanned over 30 years. Biography Born in Rome, Acciai made her film debut in 1987, while still a student at the Accademia Nazionale di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico. Since the late 1980s she specialized in comedy films. In 1994 Acciai was awarded revelation actress of the year at Grolle d'oro for her performances in Enzo Monteleone's '' The True Life of Antonio H.'' and Rosalía Polizzi's '' Anni Ribelli''. She later participated in works by young directors such as Claudia Florio, Marco Filiberti and Eugenio Cappuccio. Acciai made her television debut in 1989 playing the leading role in the television film ''Il gioko'', a thriller directed by Lamberto Bava, and is best known for the role of Cora in the series ''Incantesimo'', in which she appeared for two consecutive seasons. Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico (translation: Silvio d'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts) is a national drama school in Rome, Italy. Founded in 1936 by the theatrical theorist, critic, and writer Silvio D'Amico, the academy is the only state school for the training of actors and directors. Funded jointly by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR) and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Academy grants academic degrees equivalent to Bachelor of Arts as well as master's degrees. Giuseppe "Pino" Quartullo (born 12 July 1957) is an Italian actor, director, screenwriter and playwright. Life and career Born in Civitavecchia, after getting a degree in architecture, Quartullo graduated in directing at the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts and then studied at the Drama Laboratory of Gigi Proietti. He debuted on stage with Aldo Trionfo, serving both as an actor and as assistant director. In 1983 he founded the stage company La Festa Mobile, serving as actor, director, and playwright. In 1985 Quartullo co-directed with Stefano Reali ''Exit'', which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.
