Aleksander Donner
Aleksander Donner ( uk, Олександр Доннер, first name also transliterated as Oleksandar, Oleksander or Oleksandr); 1948 – 24 August 2013) was a Ukrainian handball coach, best known for his spell at Portuguese team ABC Braga (1991–2004). Donner is considered the most accomplished coach in Portuguese handball and is credited with the success of growing the nation's handball in the 1990s. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end.
