Aleksandar Pravdić
Aleksandar Pravdić (born in Čačak in 1958) is a former Deputy Prime Minister in the Government of Serbia (2001-2004). He graduated from the University of Belgrade University of Belgrade Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Economics and until 2000 was employed as an economist in the Health Center in Gornji Milanovac. He is a long-standing member of the Democratic Party of Serbia and has held elected positions within the party as Member of the General Committee of the DSS several times. He also served as the vice-president of DSS and was elected as Member of the Federal Assembly of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 2000, when he moved to Belgrade. Since 2005, Mr Pravdić has been the government appointed CEO of Galenika (company), Galenika the biggest pharmaceuticals company in Serbia, which is still government owned. Čačak
Čačak ( sr-Cyrl, Чачак, ) is a List of cities in Serbia, city and the administrative center of the Moravica District in central Serbia. It is located in the West Morava Valley. According to the 2022 census, the city itself has a population of 69,598 while the city administrative area has 105,612 inhabitants. The city lies about 144 km south of the Serbian capital, Belgrade. Gornji Milanovac
Gornji Milanovac ( sr-Cyrl, Гoрњи Милановац, ) is a town and municipality located in the Moravica District of central Serbia. The population of the town is 23,109, while the population of the municipality is 38,985 (2022 census data). The town was founded in 1853. Before 1859 the original name of the town was Despotovica ( sr-Cyrl, Деспотовица), after the Despotovica river passing by the town. In 1859 the name was changed to Gornji Milanovac at the request of the Prince of Serbia Miloš Obrenović. The New Democratic Party of Serbia (, , abbr. NDSS), known as the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) until 2022, is a national-conservative political party in Serbia. Miloš Jovanović serves as the current president of NDSS. DSS was formed as a conservative split from the Democratic Party (DS) and has played a key role in the opposition during the 1990s. Galenika a.d. ( sr-cyr, Галеника а.д.) is a Serbian pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Zemun, Belgrade. History Founded on 18 July 1945, Galenika was a major pharmaceutical drug-maker in the Balkans with exports to Europe, Africa and Asia. During its golden times, it was the greatest Yugoslav pharmaceutical company which controlled over 65% of SFR Yugoslavia market share. In 1991, the company was bought by American Bausch Health, ICN Pharmaceuticals, led by Serbian American businessman Milan Panić.
