Aleksandar Alekov
Aleksandar Trifonov Alekov ( bg, Александър Трифонов Алеков) (born 25 April 1985) is a Bulgarian public figure, a candidate for European Parliament at the 2014 elections, representing People's Voice. He was nominated second on the electoral list of People's Voice after participating in the first public casting held by a political party in Bulgaria. Alekov is a political scientist, holding degrees from Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen and City University London. He specialises in studying manifestations of nationalism and populism in the European Union. During a European elections debate broadcast on the Bulgarian National Television on 9 May 2014, in an outburst he openly expressed his disgust with Bulgarian political figures, accusing them of always fudging important issues. The European Parliament (EP) is one of the legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Ulcerative Colitis
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a long-term condition that results in inflammation and ulcers of the colon and rectum. The primary symptoms of active disease are abdominal pain and diarrhea mixed with blood ( hematochezia). Weight loss, fever, and anemia may also occur. Often, symptoms come on slowly and can range from mild to severe. Symptoms typically occur intermittently with periods of no symptoms between flares. Complications may include abnormal dilation of the colon (megacolon), inflammation of the eye, joints, or liver, and colon cancer. The cause of UC is unknown. Theories involve immune system dysfunction, genetics, changes in the normal gut bacteria, and environmental factors. Rates tend to be higher in the developed world with some proposing this to be the result of less exposure to intestinal infections, or to a Western diet and lifestyle. Hristo Botev ( bg, Христо Ботев, ), born Hristo Botyov Petkov (Христо Ботьов Петков; – ), was a Bulgarian revolutionary and poet. Botev is considered by Bulgarians to be a symbolic historical figure and national hero. Botev ( bg, Ботев) is a Bulgarian professional football club based in Vratsa, that competes in the First League, the top division of Bulgarian football. The club was founded in 1921.
