Alejandro Ferguson
Alejandro "Alec" Ferguson (born July 19, 1978) is an Argentine cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who has played for Argentina since 1994. Ferguson made his debut as a fifteen-year-old lower-middle order batsman, though he averaged merely five with the bat throughout the tournament, as Argentina finished third in their Plate Group. Seven years later, Ferguson was selected for the 2001 ICC Trophy tournament, where he played two matches for the team. He played in Division Two of the 2006 World Cricket League Americas Region in April. Ferguson was named the Division Two wicket-keeper of the tournament, following five catches and one stumping in four matches which made him the most successful Argentine fielder of the tournament. A cricket team from South America toured England, Scotland and Wales in the 1932 season. The team played six first-class matches and 12 other games. A seventh first-class match with Worcestershire was abandoned without a ball being bowled. This tour was the only occasion on which the South Americans played first-class cricket as a team representing the whole continent, though individual members of the side played for their countries in matches against touring teams from England that were designated as first-class. 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier was a cricket tournament that was played as part of the qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. It took place in November 2021 in Antigua, with the top two teams progressing to one of two global qualifiers. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Regional Qualifiers were played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Originally the tournament was scheduled to take place from 18 to 24 August 2020. Mexico National Cricket Team
The Mexican national cricket team represents the country of Mexico in international cricket. They became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2004. Their international debut was in 2006 against Costa Rica. The team made their ICC Americas Championship debut in June 2010 and in 2011 participated in the ICC Americas Division 3 tournament in Costa Rica. Mexico has also participated in the South American Championship in 2014 and 2018 winning both the time. In 2017, they became an associate member. The 2019 South American Cricket Championship was a cricket tournament held in Lima, Peru from 3 to 6 October 2019. A men's and a women's tournament were held, with 2019 being the sixteenth edition of the men's South American Cricket Championship and the ninth edition of the women's event. Most matches played at the 2018 women's championship were granted Twenty20 International (T20I) status, and 2019 was the first time that matches in the men's event had the full T20I status, since the ICC granted Twenty20 International (T20I) status to matches between all of its Members. The 2019 South American Cricket Championship was a cricket tournament that took place in Lima, Peru from 3 to 6 October 2019. This was the sixteenth edition of the men's South American Cricket Championship, and the first in which matches were eligible for T20I status, since the ICC granted Twenty20 International (T20I) status to matches between all of its Members. Mexico were the defending champions having won the event in 2018. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but the term was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs.
