Aleeta Raugust
Aleeta Raugust (b.1997) is a Canadians, Canadian convicted of being a serial killer of cats. In March 2023, Raugust pled guilty in the Alberta Court of Justice to ten criminal charges nine of which were related to Cruelty to animals, animal abuse and a single count of threatening property damage. On September 15, 2023, Justice Mike Dinkel sentenced Raugust to 6.5 years in prison, the longest sentence in Canadian history for Cruelty to animals, animal abuse. Raugust admitted to torturing nine cats of which she Animal slaughter, killed seven. Stephen Rodney Bouquet (5 January 1967 – 5 January 2022), also known as the Brighton Cat Killer, was a British criminal who was sentenced to five years and three months in prison for killing nine cats, maiming seven more, possession of a knife in a public place and failing to answer bail. These attacks occurred in Brighton, East Sussex, England from October 2018 to June 2019. The Croydon Cat Killer is the name given to a hypothetical individual alleged to have killed, dismembered and decapitated more than 400 cats and various other animals across England, beginning in 2014 in Croydon, South London. Reports of cat deaths attributed to the killer were spread across and around London, and as far north as Manchester. However, in 2018, the Metropolitan Police concluded that the mutilations had not been carried out by a human and were likely caused by wildlife predation or scavenging on cats killed in vehicle collisions, a conclusion subsequently supported by further research. Calgary Remand Centre (CRC) is a provincial correctional facility in Alberta, Canada. The facility is operated by the Ministry of the Justice Solicitor General of Alberta. The CRC remands inmates awaiting trial or sentencing. As of 2017, due to limited space only male inmates are housed in the facility, female inmates being housed in the neighboring Calgary Young Offenders Centre.
