Ale (album)
''Ale'' is the eighth studio album by Italian singer Alexia released in 2008. The album is the first release on the Edel label after Alexia left Sony Music in 2007 and was the first studio album Alexia had released since 2004's ''Gli occhi grandi della luna''. The album was released in Italy on CD on 27 June 2008 and for digital download the next day. A version which included the song Biancaneve was released in Europe on 24 July 2009. Two singles were released from the album: " Grande coraggio" which had two videos filmed, one of which contained clips of Alexia in the studio recording the album and at the album photoshoot which was used to promote both album and single; " Guardarti dentro" was the second single and as it was just a one track digital release which did not differ from the album, no separate download track was issued. Alexia (born Alessia Aquilani, 19 May 1967) is an Italian singer. Before recording in Italian in the 2000s, she made records in English in the 1990s. Many of those were international hits. Before her solo career, she was the vocalist of Ice MC. In her career, she has sold over 6 million records with ten top 10 singles, four of which were number-ones with numerous international sales certifications. She has performed at the Festivalbar nine times, and four times at the Sanremo Music Festival in which she has earned, besides several music critic awards, three second-placings, and one first-placing in 2003. ''Le più belle di… Alexia'' is the first budget compilation album of the singer Alexia, released in 2006 shortly before she left Sony. It is not regarded as an official Alexia hits compilation as it contains both singles and album tracks. Notably, nearly all of Alexia's physically released Italian singles except " Keep On Movin'", " Money Honey", "Summerlovers" and " Come tu mi vuoi (You Need Love)" are included with the album spanning six of Alexia's seven studio albums (''Mad for Music'' excepted) and two compilation albums with all the new tracks featured on '' The Hits'' and '' Da grande'' featured. ''Collections'' is the second budget compilation album of the singer Alexia released after she left the label. It is not regarded as an official Alexia hits compilation as it contains both singles and album tracks. Notably, the songs are from the time after she left Robyx and DWA and cover the albums ''Mad for Music'', '' Alexia'' (Italian version only), '' Il cuore a modo mio'' and '' Gli occhi grandi della luna''. " Da grande", one of the new songs from her 2005 hits collection '' Da grande'' is included and this is the only Alexia compilation album to feature the single '' Summerlovers''. It was released on 19 February 2009 by Columbia (Sony Code 747217) and was the first and only release by Alexia on Sony's Columbia imprint. ''Gli Occhi Grandi Della Luna'' (translated as 'The Large Eyes Of The Moon') is the seventh studio album by Alexia released in Italy on 5 July 2004 (Sony Code 517379). This would be the fourth album in which Alexia had a hand in production. The lead single from the album " Come tu mi vuoi" was written and produced by Sam Watters and Louis Biancaniello who had written for Anastacia, with the original English version being a bonus track. The second song to be lifted as a Radio promotional release was "Una donna sola". Both tracks would feature on Alexia's Italian greatest hits CD '' Da grande'' along with "Funky al cuore" and "Quello che sento".
