Aldo Ronconi
Aldo Ronconi (20 September 1918 – 12 June 2012) was an Italian professional road bicycle racer. Ronconi was born at Brisighella, Ravenna, Italy. He was professional from 1940 to 1952 where he won 5 victories. He finished fourth overall in his first Tour de France where he won a stage and wore the yellow jersey for 2 days. He also won a stage in the 1946 Giro d'Italia. He owned a bicycle goods and sports shop in Faenza, Italy, and died in Faenza, aged 93. Brisighella
Brisighella () is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the province of Ravenna, region of Emilia-Romagna, in Northeast Italy. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy"). Brisighella borders the following municipalities: Casola Valsenio, Castrocaro Terme e Terra del Sole, Faenza, Forlì, Marradi, Modigliana, Palazzuolo sul Senio, Riolo Terme. It originates from a '' rocca'' castle ordered by Maghinardo Pagani and later expanded by Francesco Manfredi, lord of Faenza. It is the birthplace of Dino Monduzzi (1922–2006), a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. The final part of the novel ''The Gadfly'' by Ethel Lilian Voynich (1897) is set in Brisighella. Giro Di Toscana
The Giro di Toscana is a road bicycle race held annually in Tuscany, Italy. From 2005 to 2014, the race has been organised as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The race was not held in 2015. On 4 April 2016 it was announced that the race will return in September 2016 as a three-race challenge (similar to the Trittico Lombardo or Vuelta a Mallorca), consisting in three one-day races held consecutively in Tuscany. Each race will award points to the best placed riders, and the rider who score most points will win the overall classification of Giro della Toscana.
