Brian Alderson
Brian Alderson (5 May 1950 – 23 April 1997) was a Scottish footballer. He predominantly played as a winger, but was also able to play as a striker. Alderson, who was born in Dundee, began his career with local youth side Lochee Harp before becoming a professional with Coventry City. He made his league debut against Chelsea on . Alderson spent five years at Highfield Road, twice finishing as Coventry's top goalscorer, before moving to Leicester City in mid-1975. He spent three years with Leicester, although he was no longer a regular during his final season, 1977–78, owing to injury. In 1978 Noel Cantwell, who had managed Alderson during his spell at Coventry, invited him to play for the newly formed New England Tea Men of the North American Soccer League. Bryce Alderson
Bryce Alderson (born February 5, 1994) is a Canadian former soccer player. Club career Alderson began his career with Toronto-based club Portugal FC in the Canadian Soccer League Reserve Division. In 2011, he joined Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23. He impressed the under-23 side and appeared in two matches with Whitecaps FC in the 2011 MLS Reserve Division. On November 17, 2011 it was announced that Alderson would be joining the club's senior side for the 2012 season. He made his debut in a 2–1 win against the University of Victoria Vikes, coming on as a substitute in the Whitecaps third pre-season match of the season. Dale Leonard Alderson (March 9, 1918 – February 12, 1982) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1943 through 1944 for the Chicago Cubs. Listed at , , Alderson batted and threw right-handed. A native of Belden, Nebraska and graduate of Upper Iowa University, Alderson was one of many major leaguers who saw his baseball career interrupted by a military stint during World War II. He began his professional baseball career in 1942 with the Zanesville Cubs of the Middle Atlantic League. In 1943, he pitched for the Nashville Volunteers of the Southern Association and earned a late call-up to the Chicago Cubs in late September. During the 1944 midseason, he was optioned back to Nashville, where he enlisted the Navy though he had twice been previously rejected because of a kidney ailment. Daniel John Alderson (October 31, 1941 – May 17, 1989) was a scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, and a prominent participant in science fiction fandom. He came from a middle-class family and had diabetes. A high school science fair project on the gravitational fields of non-spherical bodies won him a college scholarship to Caltech and a job at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he wrote the software used to navigate ''Voyagers'' 1 and 2. Frederic Hodgson Rudd Alderson (27 June 1867 – 18 February 1925) was an English international rugby union threequarter who played club rugby for Cambridge University and Hartlepool Rovers. Alderson played international rugby for England and was an original member of invitational team, the Barbarians. Helen Popova Alderson (1924–1972) was a Russian and British mathematician and mathematics translator known for her research on quasigroups and on higher reciprocity laws. Life Alderson was born on 14 May 1924 in Baku, to a Russian family of two academics from Moscow. Her father, a neurophysiologist, had been a student of Ivan Pavlov. She began studying mathematics at Moscow University in 1937, when she was only 13. She had to break off her studies because of World War II, moving to Paris as a refugee with her family. After the war, she returned to study at the University of Edinburgh. She completed a Ph.D. there in 1951; her dissertation was ''Logarithmetics of Non-Associative Algebras''. Mozelle Alderson (November 20, 1904 – February 15, 1994) was an American classic female blues singer. She recorded a small number of tracks for Black Patti Records in 1927 and for Brunswick Records In 1930. Her most regular pianist was Judson Brown. She was a one-time vocalist for the Famous Hokum Boys in 1930 and toured and recorded as a backing vocalist for other blues artists. Alderson used a number of aliases, possibly including Kansas City Kitty, Hannah May, Thelma Holmes, Mae Belle Lee, and Jane Lucas. Little is known of her life outside of her recording career. Career She was born Mozelle Fagans in Bedford, Ohio in 1904. She married and moved to Chicago, Illinois.
