''Album1'' (stylized as ''album1'') is the debut full-length studio album by Dutch DJ, musician, record producer and composer, San Holo. It was self-released on 21 September 2018, by his independent record label, bitbird. The album features guest appearances from Sofie Winterson, Bipolar Sunshine, James Vincent McMorrow, Yvette Young, Cassini, The Nicholas, Duskus, Caspian and Fazerdaze. The album was supported by six singles: "Worthy", " Lift Me from the Ground", "Brighter Days", "Forever Free", "Surface", and "Voices In My Head". Following its release, ''album1'' debuted at number seven on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart for the week of 6 October 2018, becoming Holo's first top ten album. Sander van Dijck (born 26 November 1990), better known by his stage name San Holo, is a Dutch DJ, musician, and record producer from Zoetermeer. He gained international recognition for his remix of Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode", which currently has over 258 million views on YouTube. He has released music on several record labels including Spinnin' Records, Owsla, Barong Family, and Monstercat. He also founded Bitbird, a label which has released several of his singles including "Still Looking" and "Light" and his debut album '' Album1''. San Holo's first EP, ''Cosmos'', was released via Heroic on 18 September 2014 and was in the Top 100 Electronic category of iTunes. ''BB U OK?'' (stylized as bb u ok?) is the second studio album by Dutch musician San Holo, released on 4 June 2021 by Bitbird, Counter Records, and Liquid State. Production The album was recorded from September 2019 to January 2020. Similarly to '' Album1'', it was recorded in an Airbnb in Los Angeles, this time in Echo Park. He explained: "I wrote ''bb u ok?'' during a new chapter of my life after that relationship ended. I was learning how to deal with what happens 'after love'. I flew to LA and just started writing and writing, trying to express everything I had been feeling for the last few months. The change in scenery definitely helped, going back to LA (like I did for ''album1'') brought back some good memories of that previous chapter." Adio Marchant (born 24 September 1987), known professionally as Bipolar Sunshine, is an English singer and songwriter from Manchester, England. Previously the co-vocalist with the band Kid British, he embarked on a solo career in 2013. Career Marchant was born and raised in Manchester, the son of Jamaican parents who separated when he was still young. In 2007, he co-founded and contributed vocals in the six-piece Kid British. The band went on to have a moderately successful career and released five EPs between 2009 and 2012 before splitting with a final farewell gig in Manchester in December 2012.
