Albin Ström
Johan Albin Ström (28 November 1892 in Åmål Municipality, Ånimskog – 22 June 1962) was a Sweden, Swedish socialist politician from Gothenburg. As a young Swedish Social Democratic Party, Social Democrat, Ström joined Zeth Höglund in 1917 when the party was split in two, as Höglund's radical left-wing was expelled. The left-wing soon formed the Vänsterpartiet, Swedish Communist Party, but in 1923 Ström left the CP and rejoined the Social Democratic Party. From 1928 Albin Ström was member of the Parliament of Sweden, Riksdag, first as a Swedish Social Democratic Party, Social Democrat, then as a member of the Socialist Party (Sweden, 1929), Kilbom Communist Party, and from 1940 as party leader for the Left Socialist Party (Sweden), Left Socialist Party. Åmål Municipality () is a municipalities of Sweden, municipality in Västra Götaland County in western Sweden. Its seat is located in the stad (Sweden), city of Åmål. The present municipality was created in 1971 through the amalgamation (politics), amalgamation of the former ''City of Åmål'' and the former rural municipality of Tössbo (the latter created in 1952). Zeth Höglund
Carl Zeth "Zäta" Konstantin Höglund (29 April 1884 – 13 August 1956) was a leading Swedish communist politician, anti-militarist, author, journalist and mayor (''finansborgarråd'') of Stockholm (1940–1950). Höglund can be credited as the founder of the Swedish Communist movement. Zeth Höglund went on many meetings in Bolshevik Russia and was elected to the Comintern Executive Committee in 1922. In 1926, he returned to the Social Democratic party but still chose to define himself as a communist. Biography Early years Zeth Höglund grew up in Gothenburg in a lower-middle-class family. The Left Party ( , V) is a socialist political party in Sweden. On economic issues, the party opposes privatisations and advocates for increased public expenditures. Socialist Party (Sweden, 1929)
The Socialist Party (), was a political party in Sweden active from 1929 to 1948. Led by Karl Kilbom and Nils Flyg, the party was founded in 1929 as a splinter group of the Left Party (Sweden), Communist Party of Sweden. Until 1934, the splinter group used the same name Communist Party of Sweden (), so in order to keep the two factions apart, this faction was generally known as ''Kilbommare'' ("Kilbomiars") while those who stayed in the old party were known as ''Sillénare'' ("Sillénians", after their leader Hugo Sillén). In the split, the entire communist parliamentary group, the party's official newspaper, ''Folkets Dagblad Politiken'', and most of the more militant members joined the Kilbom-Flyg faction. Left Socialist Party (Sweden)
The Left Socialist Party (, VSP) was a left-wing political party in Sweden that existed between 1940 and 1963. Albin Ström was a leftwing Social Democrat from Gothenburg who led a split from the Social Democratic Party in 1934, taking with him a few thousand members from the West Coast region. The tendency of Ström founded the daily ''Arbetarposten'' (Workers' Mail) and quickly aligned itself with Karl Kilbom and Nils Flyg's splinter Communist Party (not aligned to Moscow). These currents were united to form Socialist Party. When SP, under the leadership of Nils Flyg, gradually orientated itself towards Nazism, many of its members left the party. The tendency of Ström broke away in 1940 and formed ''Vänstersocialistiska Partiet'', after that Flyg had promoted that the SKP were to be suppressed by the state.
