Alberto Domínguez Borrás ( San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, 21 April 1913 – Mexico City, 2 September 1975) was a Mexican marimbist and composer. He began his career in a marimba ensemble, Los Hermanos Domínguez. His most famous songs, both from 1939, are "Frenesi" and " Perfidia". Frenesi
"Frenesí" (Spanish for 'frenzy') is a 1939 musical piece composed by Alberto Domínguez Borrás for the marimba. It was first recorded as a single by the Mexican singer and actor Ramón Armengod, and went on to become a jazz standard since recorded by hundreds of musicians. The Four Aces are an American male traditional pop quartet popular since the 1950s. Over the last half-century, the group amassed many gold records. Its million-selling songs include " Love is a Many-Splendored Thing", " Three Coins in the Fountain", " Stranger in Paradise", " Tell Me Why", and " (It's No) Sin". Other big sellers included "Shangri-La", " Perfidia", " Sincerely", and " Written On The Wind". “ Love Is A Many Splendored Thing” won the Academy Award for Best Song in 1955. Pablo Beltrán Ruiz (5 March 1915 - 29 July 2008) was a Mexican composer and bandleader, most famous for having composed, together with Mexican singer Luis Demetrio, the Spanish-language 1953 pop standard "¿Quién será?", whose English language, English version is known as "¿Quién será?#Dean Martin cover version, Sway": it had its lyrics written by Norman Gimbel, and was an international hit by Dean Martin in 1954, and by Bobby Rydell in 1960. Benny De Weille
Benny de Weille (March 6, 1915, Lübeck - December 17, 1977, Westerland) was a German swing jazz clarinetist and bandleader. De Weille studied clarinet under Hans Helmke and was heavily influenced by Benny Goodman, whom he often emulated in his own ensembles. He made recordings with Teddy Stauffer, Hans Rehmstedt, and Willy Berking in the 1930s and 1940s, and from 1940 led his own "Bar Trio". Following the war he worked at Radio Frankfurt and conducted the Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk orchestra.
