Albert Henry Robinson
Albert Henry Robinson , also known as Albert H. Robinson and as A. H. Robinson (January 2, 1881 – September 7, 1956) was a Canadian landscape painter, an invited contributor to the first Group of Seven exhibition in 1920, as well as a founding member of the Beaver Hall Group in 1920 and the Canadian Group of Painters in 1933. He used the rolling rhythm of landscape parallel to the picture plane used by A.Y. Jackson, with whom he often painted on trips to Quebec, but endowed his work with unusual colours – corals, pinks, dark blue. Randolph Hewton
Randolph Stanley Hewton (June 12, 1888 – March 17, 1960) was a Canadian artist, known for his figurative work and as a colorist. Career He was born in Maple Grove, Quebec, and studied with William Brymner at the Art Association of Montreal, going on to study at the Académie Julian in Paris where in 1912 he met A. Y. Jackson. He served overseas during World War I, taking part in the Somme offensive, and was awarded the Military Cross in 1918. After the war, he worked for Miller Brothers, paper box manufacturers, and became company president in 1921. He left the company to concentrate on painting but had returned to the position of company president by 1926. Hewton also married Isobel Monk (née Robertson) around this time. In 1933, he moved away from Montreal when Miller Brothers moved to Glen Miller, Ontario. The McMichael Canadian Art Collection (MCAC) is an art museum in Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada. The museum is located on a property in Kleinburg, an unincorporated village in Vaughan. The property includes the museum's main building, a sculpture garden, walking trails, and a cemetery for six members of the Group of Seven (artists), Group of Seven. The collection dates back to 1955, when Robert and Signe McMichael began to collect works from artists associated to the Group of Seven, exhibiting their works at their home in Kleinburg.
