Albert Andrews
Albert George Andrews (September 13, 1881 – October 25, 1960) was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1922 to 1935 sitting with the United Farmers caucus in government. Political career Andrews ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature in a by-election that was supposed to be held on July 10, 1922. He stood as a candidate under the United Farmers banner in the electoral district of Sedgewick that was vacated by former Premier Charles Stewart. Andrews was acclaimed on nomination day July 3, 1922, when no other candidates came forward. Andrews ran for a second term in the 1926 Alberta general election. Berkhampstead
Berkhamsted ( ) is a historic market town in Hertfordshire, England, in the Bulbourne valley, north-west of London. The town is a civil parish with a town council within the borough of Dacorum which is based in the neighbouring large new town of Hemel Hempstead. Charles Stewart (premier)
Charles Stewart, (August 26, 1868 – December 6, 1946) was a Canadian politician who served as the third premier of Alberta from 1917 until 1921. Born in Strabane, Ontario, in then Wentworth County (now part of Hamilton), Stewart was a farmer who moved west to Alberta after his farm was destroyed by a storm. There he became active in politics and was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in the 1909 election. He served as Minister of Public Works and Minister of Municipal Affairs—the first person to hold the latter position in Alberta—in the government of Arthur Sifton. When Sifton left provincial politics in 1917 to join the federal cabinet, Stewart was named his replacement. Albert Edward Fee (May 3, 1880 – August 26, 1957) was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1935 to 1952 sitting with the Social Credit caucus in government. Fee was born May 3, 1880, to Henry Edward Fee and Sarah Madole, both of Irish descent. He was educated in Bruce, Ontario, and married Stella Findlay on August 16, 1911, whom they had four children together. Fee worked as a hardware dealer and undertaker, and later served as a Councillor for the Village of Killam and school trustee. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The 1926 Alberta general election was held on June 28, 1926, to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. The United Farmers of Alberta government that had first been elected in 1921 was re-elected, taking a majority of the seats in the Alberta Legislature. Herbert Greenfield had resigned as United Farmers leader and premier, and John E. Brownlee led the UFA to this second election victory, increasing the UFA's number of seats.
