Alberni Street (Vancouver)
Alberni Street is a road in Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, once considered an undistinguished commercial street. In the 2010s, the street transformed into a centre for fine restaurants and high-end luxury retail stores. Beginning with a flagship store for De Beers diamonds that opened in 2013, Alberni Street and its environs are now home to the majority of luxury brands in Vancouver, including Burberry, Escada, Tiffany & Co., Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Gucci and Ferragamo. Several high-rise condominium buildings have been constructed along the street as well. Living Shangri-La is a mixed-use skyscraper in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is the tallest building in the city proper, though not in the Metro Vancouver Regional District, metro area, as Two Gilmore Place in Burnaby is taller as of its completion in 2024. The Paradox Vancouver, formerly known as the Trump International Hotel and Tower Vancouver, is a residential skyscraper and hotel in Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
