Albany Rush is an American soccer club that plays in USL League Two. Albany Rush is a part of the Northeast Rush soccer organization. Northeast Rush is a leading youth soccer organization serving communities throughout New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. History Albany Rush is a part of the Rush Soccer organization. The club was signed to the USL2 league expansion in 2020. The club was originally known as the Blackwatch Rush in their inaugural season. USL League Two
USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The league will feature 144 teams for the 2025 season, split into nineteen regional divisions across four conferences. USL League Two is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The Seacoast United Phantoms are the current champions, having defeated Peoria City 3–2 in extra time to win the 2024 USL League Two Championship final on August 3, 2024. Competition format USL League Two is divided into 4 conferences (Eastern, Central, Southern, and Western), comprising 19 divisions. The league season runs from May through July, with the playoffs decided through July and August. Rush Soccer is an international soccer organization that was founded in Denver, Colorado and is headquartered in New York. Rush Soccer partners with over 80 youth and professional clubs across the world. History Rush Soccer was founded in April 1997 in Denver, Colorado. The Colorado Rush, the first domestic Rush club, has won over 12 National Championships, and 1 World Youth Tournament since the inaugural season began in 1997. The first partnered club was Virginia Rush in 2002 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2009, Rush Soccer began to expand internationally after partnering with a small district in South Africa called Nkomazi.
