The Albanians in France constitute an ethnic minority of the country as immigrants. The most Albanians came from Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey, Italy and Greece. History The Confederation of Albanians in France is an organization of emigrants in France. It was quickly registered by the French authorities. It is in the process that some Albanians were personally addressed by the organization in Albania, either out of fear or rejection of the content, police dangerous letters of their will. A so-called Balkan committee, most of which had personal acquaintance with Albania and Greece, expressed in January 1941 "its deep sympathy with the Albanian people" strongly condemned the Italian aggression and demanded the restoration of full Albanian independence. Perikli Teta
Perikli Teta (1941–2007) was an Albanian aircraft engineer and politician who held several ministerial posts in Albania during the tumultuous decade of the 1990s. Early life and education Teta was born on August 11, 1941, in Saint-Étienne, France by parents originating from Përmet. He completed his primary education at the 7-year-old school "Ylli i Kuq" in Tirana's suburb of Laprakë. Later he attended the Polytechnic University "7 Nëntori", branching in mechanical engineering. From 1959–1961, he studied aircraft engineering in the Soviet Union. Career After briefly interrupting his studies, Teta returned to Albania and began employment as an aircraft technician at the Combat Aviation Regiment in Rinas. Lorik Agim Cana (; born 27 July 1983) is an Albanian former professional footballer. He is currently the Grassroots ambassador for children's football in Albania, named by the Albanian Football Association on 26 October 2017. Cana played in the top divisions of France, England, Italy and Turkey, representing Paris Saint-Germain, Sunderland, Galatasaray, Lazio, FC Nantes and Olympique de Marseille as well as the Albania national team for which he held the appearance record for Albania's most capped player of all time, with 93 caps since he made his debut in 2003 until his retirement in 2016. The Jerusalem Prize for the Freedom of the Individual in Society is a biennial literary award given to writers whose works have dealt with themes of human freedom in society. The International Booker Prize (formerly known as the Man Booker International Prize) is an international literary award hosted in the United Kingdom. Ismail Kadare (; spelled Ismaïl Kadaré in French; born on 28 January 1936) is an Albanian novelist, poet, essayist, screenwriter, and playwright. Klara Buda is a French Albanian journalist and writer. She is the former head of the Albanian Department of Radio France Internationale (RFI), which she left in 2010. Buda has also worked for UNESCO and the BBC. She is of French nationality and Albanian ethnicity. Buda writes prose, poetry, fiction and TV plays. Biography Klara Buda was born in Elbasan, Albania. Cizia Zykë (born Jean-Charles Zykë; 25 February 1949 – 27 September 2011) was a French writer and adventurer born in Morocco. He wrote numerous books on exploring dangerous corners of the world. Erza Muqoli (born 21 September 2005) is a French singer known for having been a contestant on the ninth season (2014–2015) of M6's '' La France a un incroyable talent'' and a founding member (from 2015 to 2018) of the child pop group Kids United.
