Alba Raquel Barros
Alba Raquel Barros (born 14 December 1952 in Santurce, Puerto Rico) is an actress, comedian, and dancer. She is better known for her acting career, and she has won many national awards for her work, both in the television and theatrical fields. Biography Barros participated in a rendition of Tennessee Williams' '' A Streetcar Named Desire'' as a student at the University of Puerto Rico (UPR). Barros began her rise to fame as a telenovela actress in Puerto Rico's channel 2 during the 1970s. She participated in some of that channel's most famous soap operas. By the early 1980s, she had moved to WAPA-TV, where she acted in some of that channel's most famous shows, including 1982's soap, '' Yo Sé Que Mentía'' (''I know he was lying''), with Iris Chacón, the mini series, ''Las Divorciadas'', (''The Divorced Women''), with Sonia Noemí and Maribella Garcia, as well as 1984's sitcom, ''Barrio Cuatro Calles''. Yasmín Mejías
Yasmín Mejías Lugo is a Puerto Rican actress, comedian, singer, politician and former Senator. She was a member of the Senate of Puerto Rico from 2001 to 2005. Mejías is famous for her performance of Dominican maid Altagracia, a character who starred in the show ''Entrando por la Cocina'', a show that started in 1986 and ran for 16 years. Mejías has also appeared in several other shows. She is also a known theater actress in the island. In 2000, Mejías was elected to the Senate of Puerto Rico for the District of Carolina. Leopoldo "Pucho" Fernández II (September 2, 1927 – July 29, 2008) was a Cuban- Puerto Rican comedian. He was the son of veteran Cuban comedian Leopoldo Fernández, known as Tres Patines. Biography Fernández was born on September 2, 1927 in La Habana, Cuba. He started working theater in Cuba when he was only 13 years old doing several minor jobs behind the curtains. However, he quickly started performing with his father in his show ''La Tremenda Corte''. In 1954, he came to Puerto Rico and was quickly hired as floor coordinator for Telemundo due to his knowledge of both English and Spanish.
