Alan Orr
Alan Orr is a Scottish actor, musician and singer, born in Paisley. Orr has appeared in ''Postmortem'' with Charlie Sheen, Nickelodeon's ''LOL: Laugh Out Loud'' and STV's ''The Silly Billys'' as well as narrating the Scottish Television series ''Tales of Toodlebye''. He also appears as an actor in the annual PACE Theatre Company pantomime every Christmas, as the comedy sidekick of PACE founder and panto dame David Wallace. The two are known for their frequent ad-libbing. David Wallace (Scottish Actor)
David Wallace is a Scottish actor and theatre director. He founded the Paisley-based PACE Theatre Company in 1988. Wallace and PACE Theatre Company started Paisley's annual Christmas pantomime, which has been running since PACE was founded. In the pantomimes, Wallace performs as a dame in a comedy double act with Alan Orr. As an acting coach with PACE, Wallace has been credited with launching the careers of James McAvoy and Paolo Nutini. In November 2008, Wallace was awarded a Fellowship by the University of the West of Scotland. In September 2017, Wallace was dismissed from PACE Theatre Company after an investigation into the company's finances. The chairman for PACE has said that the investigation was to insure that company would continue. A referendum on Scottish independence from the United Kingdom was held in Scotland on 18 September 2014. The "No" side won with 2,001,926 (55.3%) voting against independence and 1,617,989 (44.7%) voting in favour. PACE Theatre Company
PACE Theatre Company is a registered charity and non-profit making theatre company based in Paisley, Scotland. Formed in 1988 by David Wallace, PACE has four main components: a professional theatre production and theatre-in-education (TIE) company; PACE Youth Theatre, PACE Casting, a casting agency which represents Youth Theatre members; and PACE Media Productions, a media production company specialising in educational and dramatic video productions.
