Alan Hale Sr. (born Rufus Edward Mackahan; February 10, 1892 – January 22, 1950) was an American actor and director. He is best remembered for his many character roles, in particular as a frequent sidekick of Errol Flynn, as well as films supporting Lon Chaney, Wallace Beery, Douglas Fairbanks, James Cagney, Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, and Ronald Reagan. Hale was usually billed as Alan Hale and his career in film lasted 40 years. He was the son of actor Alan Hale Sr. His television career spanned four decades, but he was best known for his secondary lead role as Captain Jonas Grumby, better known as The Skipper, on the 1960s CBS comedy series ''Gilligan's Island'' (1964–1967), a role he reprised in three ''Gilligan's Island'' television films and two spin-off cartoon series. The 2017–18 North Superleague is the seventeenth staging of the North Superleague, the highest tier of league competition in the North Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association. Allen Haley
Allen Haley (January 31, 1844 – April 23, 1900) was a Canadian dentist, ship builder and political figure in Nova Scotia. He represented Hants County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1882 to 1890 and Hants in the House of Commons of Canada from 1896 to 1900 as a Liberal member. He was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, the son of Allen Haley and Harriet Utley, and was educated there. Haley went on to study at the Philadelphia College of Dental Surgery. He set up his dental practice in Windsor, Nova Scotia. In 1869, he married Annie M. Smith. He was secretary for the Shipowners Marine Insurance Company.
