Alan Bolton (1 July 1939 – 1 January 2003) was an English cricketer active from 1956 to 1963 who played for Lancashire. He was born in Darwen and died in Keighley. He appeared in 40 first-class matches as a righthanded batsman who bowled right arm off break. He scored 1,223 runs with a highest score of 96 and held 15 catches. Off spin is a type of spin bowling in cricket. A bowler who uses this technique is called an off spinner. Off spinners bowl with their right-arm and a finger spin action.
