Alamgir I (Muhi al-Din Muhammad; 3 November 1618 – 3 March 1707), commonly known by the title Aurangzeb, also called Aurangzeb the Conqueror, was the sixth Mughal emperors, Mughal emperor, reigning from 1658 until his death in 1707, becoming the second longest-ruling emperor of Hindustan (48 years and 7 months). Under his reign, the Mughal Empire reached its greatest extent, with territory spanning nearly the entirety of the Indian subcontinent. Alamgir Siddique
Alamgir Siddique (আলমগীর সিদ্দিকী) was a politician from Jashore, Bangladesh, who is well-known for his involvement in the Bengali language movement which advocated the recognition of Bengali as a state language of Pakistan. Early life Siddique was born on 19 November 1926. Career At the start of his political career, Alamgir Siddique was involved with the East Pakistan Muslim Student League. In January 1948, he issued a statement on behalf of the students of Jessore, demanding Bengali as the national language, which was published in the newspaper Ittehad. He played an instrumental role in forming the National Language Action Committee in Jessore in February 1948. On 26 February, in a meeting of student leaders at his home, a decision was made to form a committee similar to the National Language Action Committee in Dhaka. Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir
Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir (born 1 March 1942) is a Bangladeshi politician. He was a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Chandpur-1 constituency since 2008, and was Minister of Home Affairs from 2011 to 2013. He is also an economist, former civil servant, and writer in Bangladesh. Alamgir taught at the university until 1965. Joining the civil service that year, he served in numerous positions, for a total of 32 years. He held several positions with the Finance Ministry, in addition to regional posts. Beginning in the late 1990s, he was appointed to political positions when the Awami League was in power. He was detained without charges and tortured during 2002. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir (born 26 January 1948) is a Bangladeshi politician. He has been the secretary general of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) since 2016. Jalal Alamgir (17 January 1971 – 3 December 2011) was a Bangladeshi-American academic and an associate professor of political science at the University of Massachusetts-Boston and the son of Awami League Member of Parliament Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir.
