(; ), before , is the second largest printed daily newspaper in Spain. The paper is considered one of the country's newspapers of record along with '' El PaÃs'' and '' ABC''. History and profile was first published on 23 October 1989. Perhaps the best known of its founders was Pedro J. RamÃrez, who served as editor until 2014. Ramirez had risen to prominence as a journalist during the Spanish transition to democracy. Jesús (Metrovalencia)
Jesús is a station in the Metrovalencia network in the La Raiosa area of Valencia. It is served by line 1, line 2 and line 7. The station was opened on 8 October 1988, when Metrovalencia was created. On 3 July 2006, a serious crash, which killed 43 people, occurred between the station and Plaça d'Espanya station. On 12 December 2010, the station was renamed JoaquÃn Sorolla, after the painter and to reflect its proximity to the high speed train station JoaquÃn Sorolla which opened a week after the name change. The name change was opposed by opposition political parties and residents groups, who considered it an attempt to forget the tragedy. Manuel Broseta
Manuel Broseta Pont (13 October 1932 – 15 January 1992) was a Spanish academic and politician. He was a member of the Senate of Spain between 1979 and 1982 and he served as State Secretary for Autonomous Communities for the Union of the Democratic Centre (UCD) between 1980 and 1982. He was also a member of the Spanish Council of State. Broseta was assassinated by ETA members on 15 February 1992. Early life Manuel Broseta Pont was born in Banyeres de Mariola in the Province of Alicante. He however moved to the city of Valencia at an early age and went to school there. His father, a member of the Republican Left was temporarily arrested when Spanish leader Francisco Franco visited Valencia. The incident had a lasting impact on Broseta, which made him value freedom and respect for others throughout the rest of his life. Bailén is a metro station of the Metrovalencia network in Valencia, Spain, in the southern part of the city centre. It is situated on Carrer de Bailén, north of the Gran VÃa de Ramón y Cajal, directly southwest of Estació del Nord (Valencia), Estació del Nord. The station is an underground structure with a single island platform. While no in-system transfer exists between the two stations, a passageway outside of the paid area connects this station to station, allowing free transfers to Line 10 (Metrovalencia), Line 10.
