Umrah
The Umrah () is an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, the holiest city for Muslims, located in the Hejazi region of Saudi Arabia. It can be undertaken at any time of the year, in contrast to the '' Ḥajj'' (; "pilgrimage"), which has specific dates according to the Islamic lunar calendar. However, during the Hajj season ( Dhu al-Hijjah), only those who are performing Hajj are permitted to perform Umrah, as per regulations set by the Saudi government to manage crowd control and ensure safety. Haram (site)
Haram () is one of several similar words originating from the triliteral Semitic languages, Semitic Root (linguistics), root Ḥ-R-M. The word literally means "sanctuary", commonly used by Muslims to refer to Masjid al-Haram, Al-Masjid Al-Haram and Prophet's Mosque, Prophet Mohammad's Mosque. There are certain rules which Muslims within these two areas must follow. Muzdalifah
Muzdalifah () is an open and level area near Mecca in the Hejazi region of Saudi Arabia that is associated with the ("Pilgrimage"). It lies just southeast of Mina, on the route between Mina and Arafat. Mina, Saudi Arabia
Mina (), nicknamed the "City of the Tents," is a valley located southeast of the city of Mecca, in the district of Masha'er, Mecca Province, Province of Makkah in the Hejazi region Saudi Arabia. Jabal Omar
'Jabal Omar () is a neighbourhood located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia south of the Al Haram district. Description Jabal Omar is named for the hill Mount Omar that traditionally stood on the southern outskirts of Mecca and currently consists of a group of old housing units that were built randomly over the years. There are currently no facilities in the Jabal Omar area, especially sanitation facilities. Al Tundobawi
Al Tundobawi is a neighborhood of Mecca in Makkah Province, in western Saudi Arabia. Al Tundobawi is in the Municipality of Ajyad Sub. Al Tundobawi is an older suburb of Mekkah located between the Al Haram District and the commercial center of Al Hindwiyah. Because of the proximity to Hajj activities Al Tundobawi has a tradition of providing water to pilgrims and in recent times has become the site of numerous upmarket cafes, and has acquired numerous upmarket hotels.
