Al-Owd (), alternatively transliterated as al-Oud or al-ʼUd, is a former village and a residential neighborhood in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located south of Al Margab (Riyadh), Margab and west of Al Salhiyah (Riyadh), al-Salhiyah in the sub-municipality of Al Batha, Riyadh, al-Batha. Covering an area of 291 hectares, it contains the famous Al Oud cemetery, al-Oud cemetery. It shares borders with Jabrah, Riyadh, Gabrah and Al Bateha, Riyadh, al-Bateha neighborhoods to the west and Al Salhiyah (Riyadh), as-Salhiyah and Ghubairah neighborhoods to the east. Al Oud Cemetery
Al Oud Cemetery () is a public cemetery in the al-Owd neighbourhood of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, known for being the resting place of many kings, queens, crown princes and royals of the second and current Saudi states. The word "''al-ʿŪud"'', in Peninsular Arabic means "elder (older person)", likely referring to King Abdulaziz, who was buried in the cemetery. Location Al Oud graveyard is situated at Al Ghafran district and around 1 km away from Batha'a street, the center of Riyadh. More specifically, the cemetery is on the right hand side of Batha'a street going south, between Al Diryah and Manhub. It is some 2 1/2 km from the Imam Turki bin Abdullah mosque.
