Al Nasr SCSC (Salalah)
Al-Nasr Sports, Cultural and Social Club (; also known locally as ''Al-Malik'', or "The King", or just plainly as Al-Nasr) is an Omani sports club based in Salalah, in southern Oman. The club currently plays in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association. Their home ground is Al-Saada Stadium, but they also recognize the older Salalah Sports Complex as their home ground. Both stadiums are government owned, but Al-Nasr S.C.S.C. also own their own personal stadium, sports equipment, and training facilities. Also Al-Nasr is famous for producing some of the most successful Omani footballers, such as Ali Al-Habsi, Hashim Saleh and Fawzi Bashir. Al-Saada Stadium
Al-Sa'ada Stadium (), which is part of Al-Sa'ada Sports Complex (), is a government-owned multi-use stadium in the Al-Sa'ada district of Salalah, in southern Oman. The stadium is used only for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium of Salalah-based clubs Dhofar (football club), Dhofar, and Al Nasr SC (Salalah), Al-Nasr. The stadium originally had an estimated capacity of 12,000 people, but with the 2010 renovation making the stadium an all-seater stadium, all-seater, the maximum capacity decreased to an estimated 8 to 9 thousand spectators. Although opened officially in 2009, the stadium has been undergoing renovation ever since, and because of protest from the football community in the city because of the unexpected outcome, the stadium has undergone a plan to eventually house close to 20,000 spectators. 2008–09 Omani League
The 2008–09 Omani League was the 33rd edition of the top football league in Oman. It began on 23 October 2008 and finished on 27 May 2009. Al-Oruba SC were the defending champions, having won the 2007–08 Omani League season. Al-Nahda Club lost 1-0 away in their final league match against Sur SC and emerged as the champions of the 2008–09 Omani League with a total of 45 points. Teams This season the league had 12 teams. Al-Wahda SC, Oman Club and Bahla Club were relegated to the Second Division League after finishing in the relegation zone in the 2007-08 season. The AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League (), formerly known as the GCC Champions League, is a regional football competition governed by the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) for clubs from its eight member nations.
