Al Malaz Sub-Municipality
Baladiyah Al Malaz (also Al-Malaz; ar, بلدية الملز), in English as the Al-Malaz Sub-Municipality, is an urban baladiyah and one of 14 sub-municipalities of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Besides the eponymous neighborhood after which it is named, it consists of 14 other localities and sub-districts, including az-Zahra, al-Faruq, ad-Dhubat, Jarir and ar-Rabwah. and is responsible for their planning, development and maintenance. Al-Malazz ( ar, حي الملز, translit=ḥaī al-Malaz), formerly al-Riyadh al-Jadidah ( The New Riyadh) and the Red Sea neighborhood, is a commercial and residential neighborhood and the seat of the sub-municipality of its namesake, al-Malaz, in downtown Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Al Murabba
Al-Murabba () is a historic neighborhood and a subject of Baladiyah al-Malaz in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Spanned across 4.88 square kilometers, it shares borders with the al-Wizarat and al-Malazz neighborhoods to the east, an-Namudhajiyah neighborhood to the west and al-Futah neighborhood to the south. Its name reportedly comes from a broken square-shaped dry well around which the Murabba Palace was built and from where latter's name gets derived as well.
