Al Ahly Sporting Club Nabatieh (), known as Ahly Nabatieh or simply Nabatieh, is a football club based in Nabatieh, Lebanon. It was established in 1968 and competes in the . 2022–23 Lebanese FA Cup
The 2022–23 Lebanese FA Cup was the 50th edition of the national football cup competition of Lebanon. It started with the round of 16 on 16 December 2022, and ended on 30 April 2023 with the final. Lebanese Premier League side Nejmeh were the defending champions, having won the 2021–22 edition. They defeated Ahed on penalties in the final to claim their second consecutive title, and eighth overall. Hassan Kamel Al-Sabbah
Hassan Kamel Al-Sabbah (; August 16, 1894March 31, 1935) was a Lebanese electrical and electronics research engineer, mathematician and inventor. He was born in Nabatieh in present-day Lebanon. Biography He studied at the American University of Beirut. In 1916, he was conscripted into the Ottoman army, and worked as a telegraph operator. He later taught mathematics in Damascus, Syria, and at the American University of Beirut. In 1921, he travelled to the United States and for a short time studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before joining the University of Illinois in 1923. He joined the vacuum tube department of the Engineering Laboratory of the General Electric Company at Schenectady, New York, in 1923, where he had engaged in mathematical and experimental research, principally on rectifiers and inverters. Al Ahed Football Club () is a football club based in Ouzai, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the Lebanese Premier League, the top flight of Lebanese football. The club was founded in 1964 as Al Ahed Al Jadeed, initially starting in the Third Division before reaching the Premier League for the first time in 1996. Malek Hassoun
Malek Ibrahim Hassoun (; born 10 June 1975) is a Lebanese football manager and former player who is the head coach of club Ahly Nabatieh. As a player, he played as a midfielder for Chabab Ghazieh, Ansar, and the Lebanon national team. Club career Hassoun began his career at hometown club Chabab Ghazieh aged 13, joining Ansar on 5 May 1997. He became captain in 2002 following Jamal Taha's retirement, and played the rest of his career there, retiring in 2009. Hassoun played over 400 games in all competitions, scoring around 45 goals. The Lebanese First Division (), commonly known as the Lebanese Premier League (), is the top division of the Lebanese football league system. Established in 1934 and organized by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), the Lebanese Premier League is one of the oldest in the Middle East, originally launched under the name Edmond Rubeiz Cup. Throughout its history, the league has experienced several interruptions due to political instability and conflict.
