River Aln
The River Aln () runs through the county of Northumberland in England. It rises in Alnham in the Cheviot Hills and discharges into the North Sea at Alnmouth on the east coast of England. The river gives its name to the town of Alnwick and the villages of Alnmouth and Alnham. For part of its route, directly upstream of Alnwick, the river flows through Hulne Park. Etymology The meaning of the name ''Aln'' is uncertain, but it is generally seen as a Hydronym, river-name of the ''Alaunus, Alaunos'' or ''Alaunā''. Aluminium nitride ( Al N) is a solid nitride of aluminium. It has a high thermal conductivity of up to 321 W/(m·K) and is an electrical insulator. Its wurtzite phase (w-AlN) has a band gap of ~6 eV at room temperature and has a potential application in optoelectronics operating at deep ultraviolet frequencies. History and physical properties AlN was first synthesized in 1862 by F. Briegleb and A. Geuther. AlN, in the pure (undoped) state has an electrical conductivity of 10−11–10−13 Ω−1⋅cm−1, rising to 10−5–10−6 Ω−1⋅cm−1 when doped. Electrical breakdown occurs at a field of 1.2–1.8 V/mm ( dielectric strength). The National Liberation Action (''Ação Libertadora Nacional'', ALN) was a Marxist-Leninist urban guerrilla group in Brazil that opposed the Brazilian military dictatorship. The Action libérale nationale (; ALN; ) was a short-lived provincial political party in Quebec, Canada. It was founded during the Great Depression and led by Paul Gouin. Althorne railway station is a stop on the Crouch Valley Line in the East of England, serving the village of Althorne, Essex. It is down the line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between to the west and to the east. The station is managed by Greater Anglia, which operates all services.
