Al-Wehda Sports & Cultural Club () is a Yemeni professional football club based in Sana'a. Founded in 1954 as Al-Wahda, it has won the Yemeni League four times since 1990. Al-Wehda has a fierce rivalry with Al-Ahli Club Sana'a. The Falcons
The Falcons were an American rhythm and blues vocal group, some of whose members went on to be influential in soul music. History The Falcons formed in 1955 in Detroit, Michigan on the Mercury Records imprint. After personnel changes in 1956, The Falcons had hits for the Lu Pine Records label with the million-selling " You're So Fine" (1959), and "I Found a Love" (1962). The group recorded under the production wing of Robert West, who gave the group a gospel sound and recorded the singers on his own Flick label. "You're So Fine" was a national hit, charting at No. 17, on United Artists' Unart label after being picked up from Flick. Joe Stubbs was the lead singer, also on the singles "Just for Your Love" (1959) and "The Teacher" (1960), before Wilson Pickett replaced him in 1960. Ali Muhesen Stadium
Al-Thawra Sports City Stadium (), also known as the Ali Mohsen al-Muraisi Stadium (), is a multi-purpose stadium in San‘a’, Yemen. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches. The stadium had a capacity of 30,000 people before bombings and it opened in 1986. It is currently the home ground of the Yemen national football team. During the Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen at the Yemeni Civil War (2015–present), Yemen War, the stadium was destroyed by a Saudi Arabian air strike. Yemeni League
Yemeni League is the top football division of the Yemen Football Association. It was created in 1990 after the unification of North and South Yemen. It was set up in a four-level system with Premier, First, Second and Third Division. 16 northern and 16 southern clubs entered the top level championship in the 1990–91 season. Previously, two separate championships were used for North Yemen and South Yemen. Currently, 14 clubs play at the top level, with four clubs being relegated to the 2nd tier. The season is generally run from early November to late June with the league winners entering the AFC Challenge League and the Arab Champions League.
