Al-Tura SC
Al-Tura Sports Club () is a Jordanian football club based in Al-Turrah, Jordan. It will compete in the Jordanian First Division League, the second tier of Jordanian football, as a result of the Jordan Football Association exempting the club from punishment the previous season. History Al-Tura SC was founded in 1979 in the city of Al-Turrah. The club carries out sports, cultural and social activities. The club gained its first promotion to the Jordanian First Division League back in 1985. It had participated in its first Jordanian top flight experience back in 1999, to which it immediately got relegated back down to the second tier. On 11 June 2023, Al-Tura hired Hamza Al-Badarneh as their manager. On 1 September 2024, Al-Tura SC's building, which was built in 1986, has reported to have been facing a potential collapse, following its municipality's neglect. Irbid Municipal Stadium
Irbid (), known in ancient times as Arabella or Arbela (Άρβηλα in Ancient Greek language, Ancient Greek), is the capital and largest city of Irbid Governorate. It has the second-largest metropolitan population in Jordan after Amman, with a population of around 2,003,800. As a city, Irbid is Jordan's third-largest, after Amman and Zarqa. Irbid is located about north of Amman on the northern ridge of the Gilead, equidistant from Pella, Jordan, Pella, Beit Ras (Capitolias), and Um Qais, and approximately south of the Syrian border. Irbid was built on successive Early Bronze Age settlements and was possibly the Hebrew Bible, biblical Beth Arbel and the Arbila of the Decapolis, a Hellenistic league of the 1st-2nd century BCE. The population of Irbid swelled in the late 19th century, and prior to 1948 it served as a significant centre of transit trade. The hamza ( ') () is an Arabic script character that, in the Arabic alphabet, denotes a glottal stop and, in non-Arabic languages, indicates a diphthong, vowel, or other features, depending on the language.
