Al-Taybah (, also transliterated ''al-Tayyibah'' or ''al-Ta'iba''), historically called Tayyibat al-Ism, is a village in southern Syria, administratively part of the Daraa Governorate, located west of Daraa. Syria is a unitary state, but for administrative purposes, it is divided into fourteen governorates, also called provinces or counties in English (Arabic language, Arabic ''muḥāfaẓāt'', singular ''Muhafazah, muḥāfaẓah''). Daraa (, Levantine Arabic: ) is a city in southwestern Syria, north of the border with Jordan. It is the capital of Daraa Governorate in the Hauran region. The Palestine grid was the geographic coordinate system used by the Survey Department of Palestine. The system was chosen by the Survey Department of the Government of Palestine in 1922. Central Bureau Of Statistics (Syria)
The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) () is the statistical agency responsible for the gathering of "information relating to economic, social and general activities and conditions" in the Syrian Arab Republic. The office is answerable to the office of the Prime Minister and has its main offices in Damascus. The CBS was established in 2005 and is administered by an administrative council headed by the deputy prime minister for economic affairs.
