Al-Mutlaa
Al-Mutlaa () is a new city under construction in Jahra Governorate, northern Kuwait. It is the largest housing project in the Kuwaiti history, ultimately intended to provide homes for 400,000 people in 12 suburbs, together with schools, mosques, mini-markets and health-centres. The city was approximately 39% complete by May 2019, and is expected to be completed by 2023. Al-Mutlaa is one of several new cities planned by the Kuwaiti government, alongside Saad Al-Abdullah and Sabah Al-Ahmad. On 29 March 2023, A French company by the name of Egis Group has taken management over the construction of the city. Jahra Governorate
Jahra Governorate ( ) is one of the six governorates of Kuwait. It is the largest Governorate in Kuwait accounting for 63 percent of its land area. It includes the town of Al Jahra, most of the northern and western parts of Kuwait, several islands (among them Bubiyan Island). and also western districts of Kuwait City. It also contains most of Kuwait's arable land. Al Jahra also has some historic relevance to Kuwait's history. The Red Palace is the most important historical landmark there. Historically, Al Jahra was an agricultural oasis village and most locals were farmers. Areas Of Kuwait
Kuwait is divided into Governorates of Kuwait, six governorates, and in each there are several areas (). They are much less commonly called by other names such as districts or towns. However, they are commonly known inside the English-speaking community in Kuwait and are officially translated to as ''areas''. The Arabic word for area, Mintaqah, means both ''area'' and ''region''. Areas are further sub-divided into blocks, each of which is referred by a number. All blocks are divided into streets () . Then some areas may be further sub-divided into () , which is translated to avenue or lane. Each area in Kuwait has an official governmental facility called a co-op society or just society (). Mubarak Al Kabeer Port is a port in Bubiyan Island, Kuwait. The port is currently under construction. In April 2021, the port's first phase was completed (4 berths). The port is part of China's Belt and Road Initiative. Purpose Mubarak Al Kabeer Port is part of China's Belt and Road Initiative. Under China's Belt and Road Initiative, the Mubarak Al Kabeer Port is part of the first phase of the Silk City project. Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway
The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway is a causeway in Kuwait with an estimated construction value of approximately US$2,66 billion under China's Belt and Road Initiative, the causeway is part of the first phase of the Silk City project. The causeway spans the Bay of Kuwait in two directions and comprises two projects: Main Link, which connects Kuwait City with northern Kuwait (including Subiya and Bubiyan Island); and Doha Link, which connects Kuwait City with Doha. Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City
Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City () is a city and area in Al Khiran (Ahmadi Governorate), Kuwait, built with canals forming of artificial shoreline. Before construction, the city was expected to house up to 250,000 residents. The city was inaugurated in mid 2016. The concept of the area is unusual because it was built by excavating large channels in the desert rather than on reclaimed land. The city is considered a pioneering project in the region due to its environmentally sustainable construction techniques. The first phase of the project was opened to the sea in 2004.
