Al-Minaa SC Under-19s And Academy
Al-Minaa Football Club Academy is the youth system of Al-Minaa SC, Al-Minaa Football Club based in Al Maqal, Basra, Iraq. The academy teams play in the Iraqi Youth Premier League, the highest level of youth football in Iraq. The club also competes in the Basra Clubs Youth League. Former player Mohammed Abdul Hussein is the current academy manager. Al-Minaa Under-21s, previously referred to as the Reserves, is the highest level squad within the setup. They train at the Al-Minaa Training Centre and play the majority of their home games at Al-Fayhaa Stadium (Basra), Al-Fayhaa Stadium in Basra Sports City. Al-Minaa's Academy is one of Iraq's most successful, winning several championships, including winning the last Iraqi Youth Premier League title in 2022. Numerous international players have graduated from the academy and reserve teams. Al-Fayhaa Stadium (Basra)
Al-Fayhaa Stadium (Arabic: ملعب الفيحاء), also known as Mohamed Musbah Al‑Waeli Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Basra, Southern Iraq. The stadium is part of the much larger Basra Sports City, Basra Sports City complex, and is surrounded by association football, football training pitches, four Five Star hotels and other sports-related facilities. It is currently used mostly for football matches and also has facilities for athletics. The stadium has an official capacity of 10,000 spectators. It is owned by the Government of Iraq. It hosts Naft Al-Basra SC, Naft Al-Basra and Al-Minaa SC, Al-Minaa football matches in the Iraqi League when attendance is low. Karim Allawi Homaidi
Karim Allawi Homaidi (, 1 July 1928 – 22 July 2023) was an Iraqi footballer who played as a forward. He was one of the first players to play in the Iraq national team and also played for Al-Minaa. International career In April 1951, Allawi started playing for the first Iraq national team, He was called by coach Dhia Habib to play in the first international friendly in the history of Iraqi football. On 6 May 1951, Allawi played his first international against Turkey B in Turkey, which ended 7–0 for Turkey B. Karim Allawi played in the inside left position and wore the No.10 jersey against the Turks. Death Allawi Homaidi died in Basra on 22 July 2023, at the age of 95. Jamil Hanoon
Jamil Hanoon ( , born 1 July 1942) is a coach and former international Iraqi football player, he also played for Al-Minaa. International career Jamil Hanoon was called by Croatian coach Ljubomir Kokeza to play in the 1969 Jaam-e-Doosti Friendship Cup in Iran. On 7 March 1969, he played his debut with Iraq against Iran in a fully international match that ended 2–1 for Iran. Managerial career In 1977 Hanoon started training with his club Al-Minaa, which he retired from, and in the Iraqi Premier League in the 1977-1978 season after former coach Faleh Hassan Wasfi failed to win the first two games and resigned. Hanoon led Al-Minaa team in a series of excellent results and won the league title in that season without any loss. Peter Saeed Easho Murad () (born 1928) is a former international Iraqi football player, who was one of the first players to play in first Iraq national football team, he also played for Al-Minaa, and with the reserve team of English club Manchester United during the 1960s.
