Al-Malahem Media
Al-Malahem Media (AMM) () is the media wing of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. Located in Yemen, AMM uploads audio messages, online magazines and video series in Arabic, English, and French. AMM publishes multiple magazines, them being ''Sada al-Malahem'' () and ''Inspire,'' as well as the "''From the field"'' video series. Sada al-Malahem The main Arabic component of AMM's media wing is an online magazine known as ''Sada al-Malahem''. Created in 2008 and published in a bimonthly fashion, the magazine is designed specifically to appeal broadly to Yemenis beyond class, tribe and regional identity. Their propaganda utilizes a "diagnosis" and "prognostic" framework in order to exploit the grievances of Yemenis, typically young males, and allocating blame as well as providing a clear answer to the issue. Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula ( or : Tanẓīm Qā‘idat al-Jihād fī Jazīrat al-‘Arab, . Organization of Jihad's Base in the Arabian Peninsula), or AQAP is a Sunni Islam, Sunni Islamic extremism, Islamist militant organization which seeks to overthrow the Cabinet of Yemen, Yemeni government and establish the Islamic Emirate of Yemen. Part of the al-Qaeda network, the group is based and primarily active in Yemen, while also conducting operations in Saudi Arabia. As-Sahab Media (Arabic: السحاب, "The Cloud") is the official media wing of Al-Qaeda's core leadership based in Pakistan and Afghanistan. It produces media featuring original sermons and speeches by senior Al-Qaeda commanders as well as footage of international operations carried out by Al-Qaeda. In addition to being released in Arabic, some published videos come with English subtitles. Assassination Of Jamal Khashoggi
On 2 October 2018, Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi dissident journalist, was killed by agents of the Saudi government at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey. Shooting Of Alton Sterling
On July 5, 2016, Alton Sterling, a 37-year-old black man, was shot and killed by two Baton Rouge Police Department officers, Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Police were responding to a report that Sterling was selling CDs and that he had used a gun to threaten a man outside a convenience store. They attempted to arrest Sterling which led to a physical struggle on the ground. As the officers were attempting to control Sterling's arms, they shot and killed him. The officers stated that he was reaching for the loaded handgun in his pants pocket.
