Al-Kass Sports Channel
Alkass Sports Channels () is a group of eleven sports channels that are broadcast 24/7 from Qatar. Its official name is ''Al Dawri wal Kass'' (), since it was initially launched to broadcast domestic football in Qatar. The eleven channels of Alkass are numbered from one to eleven. Starting from 2013, five of its ten channels (Al-Kass 6/7/8/9/10) are encrypted with Qatari pay-tv network beIN Channels Network, which are specified to broadcasting matches of AFC Champions League and AFC Cup. Since January 2023, beIN Channels Network introduced 2 new encrypted channels (9/10). History Alkass Sports Channels was launched in June 2006 as the second sports channel from Qatar after Al Jazeera Sports. In its first year, the channel won many viewers with its unmatched coverage of domestic sports, especially football. It also broadcast the 2006 Asian Games held in Doha. Government Of Qatar
The political system of Qatar runs under an authoritarian semi-constitutional monarchy with the emir as head of state and chief executive, and the prime minister as the head of government. AFC Asian Cup
The AFC Asian Cup is the primary association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), determining the continental champion of Asia. It is the second-oldest continental football championship in the world after Copa América. The winning team becomes the champions of Asia and until 2015 qualified for the FIFA Confederations Cup. Alkass International Cup
The Alkass International Cup was an annual under-17 football tournament hosted in Doha, Qatar from 2012 to 2020. It brought together some of the best under-17 teams of clubs around the world. Format Played across 11 days typically in January and February, the tournament had 12 participants split into 4 groups of 3 teams. The first 2 teams in each group advanced to the quarter-finals, while the 3rd place teams participated in the 9th-12th place play-offs. After the quarter-finals, 4 teams advanced to the semi-finals, while the 4 others played in the 5th-8th place play-offs. Finally, after the semi-finals, 2 teams advanced to the final match, while the other 2 played in the 3rd place playoff. The winner of the final was crowned champion. Ronald De Boer
Ronaldus de Boer (; born 15 May 1970) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a right or attacking midfielder or right winger. Rhodri Ogwen Williams (born 10 May 1968) is a Welsh sports journalist from Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. Qatar National Football Team
The Qatar national football team (), nicknamed "The Maroons", represents Qatar in international football, and is controlled by the Qatar Football Association, which is affiliated with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and comes under the global jurisdiction of world football’s governing body FIFA. Qatar Stars League
The Qatar Stars League (; abbreviated as QSL), known as Ooredoo Stars League for sponsorship reasons, is the top level football league in Qatar football league system. Contested by 12 teams, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Qatari Second Division (QSD), with the lowest ranked club at the end of the QSL season being demoted to make room for the promotion of the highest ranked QSD club of the season.
