Al-Jazira FC
Al-Jazeera Football Club () is a professional Association football, football club based in Kuwait, the club competes in the Kuwaiti Division One from 2025–26. It is the first sports club in Kuwait that is privately owned with no governmental control over the club while also having a single dedicated sport. History Founding season On 20 December 2024, during an interview with Kuwait Football Association, KFA President Shiekh Ahmed Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, stated new clubs are to join the Kuwaiti Division One, Kuwait Division One with a new club yet to be established named Al-Jazeera alongside a new initiative by Ahmed Al-Yousef Al-Sabah in having new guidelines from the Kuwait Football Association, KFA in allowing the private sector to own their respective sports team. Kuwaiti Division One
The Kuwaiti Division One () is a second-tier professional Kuwaiti football league. Winners of the league are promoted to the Kuwait Premier League. Kuwaiti Division One was introduced for the 2006–07 season, when the bottom 6 clubs in the Premier League were relegated to Division One. On 25 April 2016 it was stated that the Division One league would return for 2017–18 due to Kuwait Football Association being banned by FIFA therefore not allowing the tournament to return until reinstatement by FIFA.
