Akvilė Stapušaitytė
Akvilė Stapušaitytė (born 25 March 1986) is a Lithuanian badminton player. She was born in Tauragė, Lithuanian SSR. Career Stapušaitytė won the Lithuanian National Badminton Championships in 2006–2014. Lithuania Open title winner. She attended the 2008 Summer Olympics and lost to Tine Rasmussen in the second round. She also represented Lithuania in 2012 Summer Olympics where she was eliminated after group stage. Media Stapušaitytė was nominated among most charming sportswomen of 2013 in Lithuania. In 2014, she was on the cover of SportIN magazine. Tauragė
Tauragė (; see #Names and etymology, other names) is an industrial city in Lithuania, and the capital of Tauragė County. In 2020, its population was 20,956. Tauragė is situated on the Jūra, Jūra River, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast, and not far from the Baltic Sea coast. Although first mentioned in 1507, Tauragė did not receive its town privileges, city charter until 1924, and its coat of arms (a silver hunting horn in a red field) until 1997. The previously small town was significantly developed in the 19th century and early 20th century, however its architecture suffered devastating damages during World War I and World War II. Notable surviving buildings in the city include the Tauragė castle, castle (19th century Russian Empire customs), 19th century Post office, buildings from the 20th century inter-war period, several churches: the Lutheran (built in 1843), the Catholic (1904) and Orthodox (1933). Jeanine Cicognini
Jeanine Cicognini (born 14 November 1986) is a Swiss badminton player who now represents Italy. Cicognini won her first Swiss senior title at age 16 and has since won the award seven more times. Biography In 2005, she won the silver medal at the European Junior Badminton Championships in the girls' singles event. Cicognini became a badminton professional as soon as she left school. She soon moved to Denmark, and then moved to the International Badminton Federation's training centre in Saarbrücken, Germany. In 2010, she returned to Switzerland and joined the sport army, where she played for the BC Uzwil. She later moved to Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany and played for the 1.BV Mülheim in the first bundesliga. At the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing she reached the second round, losing to Anna Rice of Canada. In 2016, she did not advance to the elimination round after placing third in the group stage.
