Akshat Khamparia
Akshat Khamparia (born 9 February 1989) is an Indian chess International Master. He is the first player from Central India to hold an 'International Master' Title. He has played more than 100 national championships and more than 40 international championships. He holds the 58th rank in the Top 100 Chess Players list of India (published by the World Chess Federation) and is the only player of Madhya Pradesh to win all the State U-8, U-10, U-12,U-14,U-16,U-19, U-25 and Seniors Chess Championship. Khamparia has represented India in various international championships at Turkey, Malaysia, Bahrain, UAE, Sri Lanka, Iran, Nepal and many other countries. Katni, Madhya Pradesh
Katni officially Murwara is a city on the banks of the Katni River in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Katni District. It is in the Mahakoshal region of central India. FIDE titles are awarded by the international chess governing body FIDE (''Fédération Internationale des Échecs'') for outstanding performance. The highest such title is Grandmaster (chess), Grandmaster (GM). The Commonwealth Chess Championship is a gathering of chess players from Commonwealth countries. Winners : History A championship was planned for New Zealand in 1949, but it was canceled because the British Chess Federation was unable to attend. Oxford 1950 In 1950 an informal all-play-all championship was held as the strongest players of Canada ( Daniel Yanofsky), New Zealand ( Robert Wade), and South Africa ( Wolfgang Heidenfeld) were all in England.
