Akka Thamudu
Akka Thamudu is a Telugu language film released on 6 October 1972. It starred Jayalalithaa, A. V. M. Rajan, Muthuraman, R. S. Manohar and Anajali Devi in supporting roles. The bond between the lead heroine Jayalalithaa with the orphaned kid played by Master Sekar was the highlight of the film. The music was provided by T. K. Ramamoorthy. It was directed by Krishnan–Panju and produced by Muthuvel Movies. The film was the dubbed version of ''Anadhai Anandhan''. The Tamil film ''Anandhai Anandhan'' and the Hindi film ''Chanda Aur Bijli'' were made simultaneously. The Hindi version released earlier in 1969. Anjali Devi (; 24 August 1927 – 13 January 2014) was an Indian actress, model and producer in Telugu and Tamil films. She was well known for her role as the Devi Sita in '' Lava Kusa'' as well as for the titular roles in movies like Chenchu Lakshmi, ''Suvarna Sundari'' and ''Anarkali''. J. V. Sekhar (7 January 1963 – 8 July 2003), better known as Master Sekhar, was an Indian child actor who predominantly appeared in Tamil and Malayalam films. R. Krishnan (1909–1997) and S. Panju (1915–1984), collectively referred to as Krishnan–Panju, were Indian film directors. The duo directed more than 50 films in South Indian languages and in Hindi. Early life R. Krishnan was born on 18 July 1909 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Previously, he was in charge of the laboratory in Pakshiraja Studios (then known as Kandhan studio) in Coimbatore. S.
