Akinyele Adams (born April 23, 1971), better known by the mononym Akinyele, is an American rapper known for his sexually explicit lyrics, including his 1996 underground radio hit "Put It in Your Mouth". He appeared on "Live at the Barbeque" off of Main Source's 1991 album ''Breaking Atoms''. His first album, ''Vagina Diner'', was released in 1993. In 2001, he released ''Anakonda''. In 2010, Akinyele retired from the rap circuit. In 2016, he opened V-Live, a Miami Beach club. It garnered controversy for its similarities to strip club, strip clubs, which are prohibited in Miami Beach, and for having overly loud music that disturbed local residents. Due to these and other issues, V-Live was forced to close down in 2019. Akinyele is of Nigerian and Costa Rican descent. Alexander Akinyele
Alexander Babatunde Akinyele, CBE (5 September 1875 – 1 October 1968) was the first Anglican Diocesan Bishop of Ibadan, Nigeria. He was the first indigene of Ibadan to obtain a university degree, and the founder of the first secondary school, Ibadan Grammar School in Ibadan. Early beginnings Bolude, a pagan Ibadan warrior and herbalist of repute in the years of Ibadan militocracy, had Josiah Akinyele as his first son. Josiah was one of the early converts under the auspices of David Hinderer, the German leader of the Church Missionary Society (CMS) and his team of six missionaries that first brought Christianity to Ibadan in 1851. Oba Sir Isaac Babalola Akinyele, KBE (18 April 1882 – 30 May 1964) was the first educated Olubadan (non-hereditary traditional ruler) of Ibadan, and the second Christian to ascend the throne. Rufus Taiwo Akinyele (born 2 February 1959) is a Nigerian professor of African History at the University of Lagos, and the Vice Chancellor of Maranatha University, Lagos.
