Akena P'Ojok
Akena p'Ojok is a former influential Ugandan politician who held various government positions in the 1980s, including Minister of Power, Posts and Telecommunications. He was a prominent figure of Uganda National Liberation Front, Uganda National Liberation Front/Army that helped remove Idi Amin and was involved in the power struggles that followed. Early life P'Ojok, an ethnic Acholi people, Acholi, was born in Pupwonya, a rural community near Atiak trading centre in Kilak County, Amuru District. Political life During the rule of Idi Amin, p'Ojok fled to Kenya, settling in Nairobi, where he became the chief engineer of the Kenyan Electricity Utility company. Chris Akena
Chris Pius Akena (born 18 August 2002) is a Ugandan professional footballer who plays as an Attacking midfielder or right winger for Kenyan Premier League club Gor Mahia and the Uganda national team. Club career Akena started his youth career at Proway Sports Academy in Uganda before joining Aspire Academy in Qatar in 2016. In 2017, he joined Uganda Premier League side Maroons and in 2021 he signed for Shabab Al Ahli Club where he won with the U21 and U19 the UAE U21 pro league and the UAE youth league titles before joining the UAE second-tier club Al Rams Club in January 2023 becoming the first Ugandan to ever play professional football in UAE.
