Ak-Suu (Syr Darya)
The Ak-Suu or Yokhsu/Oqsu ( ky, Ак-Суу, ) is a left tributary of the Syr Darya, flowing through Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan and Sughd Region of Tajikistan. Leylek District
Leylek ( ky, Лейлек району, Leylek rayonu) is a district of Batken Region in south-western Kyrgyzstan. It borders with Batken District in the east, and Tajikistan in the south, west, and north. Turkestan Range
One of the northern extensions of the Pamir-Alay system, the Turkestan Range (russian: Туркестанский хребет; ky, Түркстан кырка тоосу; uz, Туркистон тизмаси, Turkiston tizmasi; tg, Қаторкӯҳи Туркистон) stretches for a total length of 340 km from the Alay Mountains on the border of Kyrgyzstan with Tajikistan to the Samarkand oasis in Uzbekistan. It runs in the east–west direction, north of the Zeravshan Range, forming the southern boundary of the Ferghana Valley in Tajikistan and Golodnaya Steppe in Uzbekistan. Batken Region
Batken Region ( ky, Баткен облусу, Batken oblusu; russian: Баткенская область, Batkenskaya oblast) is a region ('' oblus'') of Kyrgyzstan. Its capital is Batken. It is bounded on the east by Osh Region, on the south, west and north by Tajikistan, and on the northeast by Uzbekistan. The northern part of the region is part of the flat, agricultural Ferghana Valley. Sughd Region
Sughd Province ( tg, Вилояти Суғд, Viloyati Sughd, Sogdia Region , fa, ولایت سغد) is one of the four administrative divisions and one of the three provinces ( tg, вилоятҳо, viloyatho , fa, ولایت) that make up Tajikistan. Sarkent State Nature Park
Sarkent State Nature Park ( ky, Саркент мамлекеттик жаратылыш паркы) is a national park in Leylek District of Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan established in June 2009. The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique natural complexes and biodiversity, protection of rare and endangered flora and fauna, and extension of network of specially protected areas of Kyrgyz Republic. The area of the park is 39,999 hectares. The park is located in the Turkestan Range, 42 km from the district center Isfana and in 177 km from the regional center Batken. Rare species listed in the Red Book live here, such as the brown bear, the snow leopard, the golden eagle, the lynx, and the saker.
