Ajit Inder Singh
Ajit Inder Singh Mofar (born August 18, 1951) is an Indian politician and former Member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly who represented the Sardulgarh Assembly constituency in Mansa district, India, Mansa district. He served three terms as MLA, first elected in 1997 on a Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) ticket, and later in 2007 and 2012 as a candidate of the Indian National Congress. Mofar's son, Bikram Singh Mofar, has followed in his father's political footsteps, serving as the District Congress Committee President and contesting the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly election from Sardulgarh Assembly constituency, Sardulgarh. Mansa district is a district in the state of Punjab, India. The district headquarters is Mansa city. Mansa district was formed on 13 April 1992 from the erst while district of Bathinda. The district has three tehsils: Mansa, Budhlada and Sardulgarh; and five development blocks: Mansa, Budhlada, Sardulgarh, Bhikhi and Jhunir. Geography The district is roughly triangular in shape and is bounded on the northwest by Bathinda district, on the northeast by Sangrur district, and on the south by Haryana state. It is situated on the Bathinda-Jind-Delhi railway and the Barnala- Sardulgarh-Sirsa road. The district is divided into three tehsils, Budhlada, Mansa, and Sardulgarh. The Ghaggar River flows through the Sardulgarh Tehsil in the southwestern corner of the district. History . Balwinder Singh Bhunder (born 20 September 1944) is an Indian politician, former member of the Rajya Sabha, from the state of Punjab, and is the Working President of Shiromani Akali Dal. He is a member of the Shiromani Akali Dal party. He served as the Cabinet Minister for Agriculture, the Cabinet Minister for Forest and the Cabinet Minister for Soil Conservation from 1977 to 1980. Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar)
Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) is a hard-line Sikh nationalist political party led by Simranjit Singh Mann, it is a splinter group of the Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab, India. They use 'Balti', the Punjabi term for bucket as their official election symbol. Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) was formed on 1 May 1994. The party has seen a resurgence in support after the death of Deep Sidhu who was a supporter and seen as sympathetic to the cause of Simranjit Singh Mann.
