Ajdanovac Monastery
The Ajdanovac Monastery () is a Serbian Orthodox Monastery, located in the same-named village of Ajdanovac, on the slopes of Jastrebac, in south-east Serbia. Serbian Orthodox Church
The Serbian Orthodox Church ( sr-Cyrl-Latn, Српска православна црква, Srpska pravoslavna crkva) is one of the autocephalous (ecclesiastically independent) Eastern Orthodoxy, Eastern Orthodox Eastern Orthodox Church#Constituencies, Christian churches. The majority of the population in Serbia, Montenegro and Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina are Baptism, baptised members of the Serbian Orthodox Church. It is organized into metropolis (religious jurisdiction), metropolitanates and eparchies, located primarily in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Croatia. Jastrebac
Jastrebac ( sr-Cyrl, Јастребац) is a mountain in central Serbia, between cities of Niš, Kruševac and Prokuplje. It consists of two massifs, Great (''Veliki'') and Small (''Mali'') Jastrebac. Its highest peak ''Velika Đulica'' has an elevation of 1,491 meters above sea level. It is well-forested and presents a popular hiking and mountaineering destination. Jastrebac is bounded by the rivers of West Morava on the west, Toplica on the south and Rasina on the east. Despite the relatively low height, it is prominent because of the surrounding valleys. It is on the boundary of Dinaric, Balkan and Rhodopes mountain ranges, but cannot be clearly classified into either. The Balkans ( , ), corresponding partially with the Balkan Peninsula, is a geographical area in southeastern Europe with various geographical and historical definitions.
