Ajax Academy
The Ajax Youth Academy (Dutch: ''Ajax Jeugdopleiding'') is a football youth academy based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from where the organization manages a total of 13 youth teams (ages 7–18). The academy is the primary youth clinic of Dutch football team Ajax Amsterdam. The club depends heavily on the youth academy as they move promising youngsters from the youth teams to the senior team where they can showcase their talent and develop into stars. On 11 September 2020, the CIES released their annual rankings of the clubs having trained the most players active in 31 top divisions of UEFA member associations. The Ajax Youth Academy came in 2nd place to the FK Partizan Academy from Serbia with 77 players footballers trained, while the Serbian side topped the list with 85 footballers trained. Sportcomplex De Toekomst (Dutch for ''Sporting complex The Future'') is a sporting complex in Ouder-Amstel, Netherlands, owned by AFC Ajax N.V. The complex comprises nine football fields and is located close to the Johan Cruyff Arena and on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Its main field has seating capacity for 2,250 people. The facility serves as the home grounds of AFC Ajax (women), Ajax Women, which competes in the Eredivisie (women), Eredivisie Vrouwen, the reserves team Jong Ajax, which competes in the Eerste Divisie, as well as AFC Ajax (amateurs), Ajax Amateurs, which competes in the Derde Divisie. Rafael Van Der Vaart
Rafael Ferdinand van der Vaart (; born 11 February 1983) is a Dutch former professional association football, footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Van der Vaart began his career at AFC Ajax, Ajax's Ajax Youth Academy, youth academy and worked his way into the first team, debuting as a 17-year-old. Known for his Playmaker, playmaking skills, he drew comparisons to Johan Cruyff. Ruud Krol
Rudolf Jozef "Ruud" (or "Rudi") Krol (; born 24 March 1949) is a Dutch former professional footballer who was capped 83 times for the Netherlands national team. Most of his career he played for his home town club, Ajax. He became a coach after retirement. Willem Cornelis Nicolaas "Wim" Kieft (born 12 November 1962) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a centre forward. Kieft went into punditry in 2001, occasionally appearing on football talk show '' Voetbal Inside'' A prolific goal-scorer whose main asset was his heading ability, he played for two big clubs, Ajax and PSV. Piet Keizer
Petrus Johannes "Piet" Keizer (14 June 1943 – 10 February 2017) was a Dutch professional footballer who played as a left winger. As part of the "Total Football" Ajax Amsterdam team of the 1960s and 1970s, Keizer was particularly notable during the successive managerial tenures of Rinus Michels and Stefan Kovacs (1965–1973). He is widely considered one of the greatest players in Dutch football history. Dutch writer Nico Scheepmaker once said: " Cruyff is the best, but Keizer is the better one". Bobby Haarms (8 March 1934 – 6 June 2009) was a Dutch professional football player and coach. Playing career A midfielder, Haarms joined the youth team of Ajax in 1947 and made his professional debut in 1952. Eduard Laurens Pieters Graafland (5 January 193428 April 2020) was a Dutch professional football player and coach. As a player, he was the goalkeeper of Ajax, Feyenoord and the Netherlands. In 1970, his last season as a professional, he won the Europa Cup with Feijenoord. In total, he was capped for the national team 47 times. Gerrit Fischer
Gerrit Fischer (28 August 1916 – 22 November 1984) was a Dutch footballer who played for Ajax as a right winger. Club career Ajax Fischer was discovered at a school football match at the age of sixteen, by Ajax coach Jack Reynolds, after which he joined the youth ranks of the Amsterdam club. He made his debut for the first team at the age of eighteen in a home match against Xerxes on 16 September 1934. He went on to play for the first team of Ajax for 16 years. Between 1936 and 1938, he had temporarily lost his starting position to Jan Stam, but throughout his career he always remained of great value to the club. Maarten Stekelenburg (; born 22 September 1982) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Stekelenburg began his career at Ajax, playing 282 matches over nine seasons in his first spell there and winning nine honours, including two Eredivisie titles.
