Nukufilm OÜ is an animation studio in Tallinn, Estonia. This studio is the biggest stop-motion animation studio in Northern Europe. The studio was established in 1957. Elbert Tuganov
Elbert Tuganov (22 February 1922 – 22 March 2007) was an Estonian animator and film director. He is known as "the father of Estonian animation". Life Tuganov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan to an Estonian mother and an Ossetian father. In 1946 he joined with Tallinnfilm Tallinnfilm is the oldest surviving film studio in Estonia. It was founded as Estonian Culture Film in 1931, and was nationalized in 1940 after Estonia was forced into the Soviet Union. During the first year of Soviet Occupation (1940–1941) ' .... Tampere Film Festival
The Tampere Film Festival ( fi, Tampereen elokuvajuhlat) is a short film festival held every March, mostly at the Finnkino Plevna movie theatre, in Tampere, Finland. It is accredited by the film producers' society FIAPF, and together with the short film festivals in Oberhausen and Clermont-Ferrand, it is among the most important European short film festivals. The first festival was held in 1969, and since 1970, it has been held in its current form, which makes it the oldest short film festival in Northern Europe.
